I know there were a lot of things lost out of tool bags Friday so I thought I would go ahead and start a thread. I left a ball ping hammer with a dark brown wooden handle where I fixed my car. I was in the 007 single seat car on the side of the Hill Climb all day. If any one found it I would love to have it back, it has a lot of sentimental value to me, it was my grandfather's.

Someone let us borrow a electric 10" fan in the pits. Let me know who you are and what it came off of as we disintegrated it on the course.

That was me that gave it to you guys after we figured out it wasn't going to work on DozerDan's XJ. It was just a regular Taurus fan. Shoot Dan a PM or something and see what he wants to do.

Hey this is David Smiley. So I guess we finally met but didn't meet

Ryan and I were on Jotter's Way and tried to winch you up the hill when you were jambed into the front of my buggy

I think once we got to the top Ryan came back and winched you up. Sorry you didn't make it much farther in the race. Hopefully we kept our promise to get you up that trail. I was too busy fixing our cooling system to check out what was going on down the hill.

I did not see that hammer later sorry.

Yes you guys did keep your promise David. I am grateful to you guys for that. I actually told that story several times of the great sportsmanship you showed. My day turned bad after that unfortunately.

I'm just glad we could keep our end of the deal. at the end of the day we didn't qualify but we ran a clean race and felt like it was a day of wheeling on steroids. I hated passing people broken down and wanted to stop every time to make sure people were OK but I need to learn to keep my head in the race if I do this again.

when we passed Lou Levy broken down my heart sank because he helped us so much during pre-running and I learned a lot from him. Apparently he got it back together later because we didn't see him again.

It was a newer style Taurus fan. If you come across one great, if not no big deal. It was just a junk yard part. Sorry it did not work out for you. I was hoping at least someone got to use it.

I lost half a shock somewhere between the start and coming back to the pits. Hopefully no one found it with a tire

We'll figure something out. We were in too much of a hurry when putting it on. I saw it starting to flop around in the rear view and then it disintegrated itself. Thanks for trying to help keep us going.

I hate to admit but we lost our cherry, this was our first KOH race and we had the first time blues. I can honestly say if I had half a day of testing 90% of our problems could have been avoided

I lost a black neck roll on Thursday , I think it was lost in the pits or the fast section across the road.

i know will carter lost a tow strap and a shackle...somewhere between the start/finish line, and the start/finish line...i offered to run the course after the race to look for it, but he declined...

I came over to see how you were making out with the fan and it looked like you were taking the whole rear hydro ram out...what happened there?

I found a shackle in the mud .. no pin though. And no tow strap near by.

I lost a shackle and pin somewhere between the start and the pits, That stupid thing has been living on the front of my YJ for years, then on the back of the XJ since I got it a few months back. I guess it did not like the XJ, so it jumped off.

Free tree saver and shackle with no pin at the top of Winch Hill 5. No time to recover it. Might have a bunch of winch rope knots in it too!!

I would say to call Bruce but his phone is already partially attached at his ear.

Talked to Bruce. He was not there but was pretty sure it sounds like the one I lost. Calling in the morning to talk to Tommy to make sure it is it and have him ship it down to me. Thanks guys!

I saw the tow strap fall off of one of the rigs by CP2. I can't honestly say that it was W Carter or someone else but I think Zach from AtoZ picked it up and probably gave it the office.
