California Firefighters 2012 Olympics 4x4 Event
Calling all California Firefighters! Spread the word. It's time for the Firefighter Summer Olympics and we are back with the 4x4 Competition. If you or someone you know loves four wheeling and would like to come out for a friendly competition and trail run out at Hollister Hills this coming July, please respond. The event will have a couple classes, from mild to wild. Courses and classes will depend on what you drive and are comfortable with.
This is a non-profit event and all proceeds benefit youth, seniors and the physically disabled. Please answer up and let me know if you are interested. I need to have an approximate number of people interested in this event to get it put on the roster. This event is open to all California Professional firefighters current and retired. Please spread the word. Divisions: 35” and under “Daily Driver” class – mild courses not designed to damage vehicle 36” and over “Daily Driver” class – mild courses not designed to damage vehicle 36”-42” Buggy class – moderate to difficult courses that may cause damage Super Mod / Unlimited class (examples: rear engine / rear steer / single seat) – moderate to difficult courses that may cause damage Mud Bog – open class, judged by time/distance (event dependent on water status of the park) Please submit vehicle information and modifications with your entry form Scoring is simple; all courses will be scored based on time. **Vehicle must be currently LICENSCED or have GREEN STICKER** Rules: -DOT or SNELL approved helmet (for both driver and spotter) -Roll bar or factory hard top -Functional parking brake or micro-lock -Tow strap or rope (recommended rating at 2 times the vehicle weight -First aid kit -Jack capable of lifting the vehicle and tools to change tire -Fire extinguisher with gauge indicating good/full, appropriately stored -Seat belts for all vehicle occupants -Antennas must be rigid or restrained in a manner to prevent injuries -Adequate attachment points front and rear, i.e. tow hooks, receiver, etc., tow balls are not permitted. -Battery hold downs (no bungee cords) Dates: July 17 Gates open and overnight camping available prior to event July 18 Official Competition Camping available night after event Times: July 18 8:00 am – Check-in and Safety Inspection 8:30 am – Drivers Meeting 9:00 am – Start of competition Check-In: Competitors may check-in remotely at the 4x4 event. However, if you are participating in other events you must check in at the host hotel. Campground has restrooms, showers, sinks and a couple water outlets. Signs will make event and camping areas easy to find. You may come a day early if you wish, camping available for the night before the event and the night after the event. Please be advised that if you are traveling a significant distance, a trailer may be the way you want to travel. Some shop / welding equipment will be on-site. Event Fee: $75 (includes 4x4 event entry fees, overnight camping in Area 5, one meal ticket for BBQ dinner) Additional meal tickets are $10 each Plus $30 per player Olympic registration fee

what would you guys think about trying to get a couple sponsors? I dont know anything about it, but there might be some local vendors or something that would be interested?
