What's the selling price if you bob it for me?

What engines do these things run in them again. I know it's diesel, but what's the size?

In Ca. technically you are supposed to have a class B license because of the 3rd axle.

You would have to get it registered, but yes its legal.

I usually dont title the trucks before I sell them-- When you buy one, I order a Gov title (SF97) for that particular truck. You take that, plus a bill of sale from me, and a weight cert and a VIN verification to the DMV. They will give you new title, registration.

That seems like a very simple process... I really want a bobbed Duece so bad... I have been looking at your items for a bit now, trying to come up with the money, and being able to justify it to the financial advisor right now!!

I have visions of getting rid of my DD diesel 1-ton and getting something smaller and more comfortable to drive on a daily basis. A bobbed deuce might make a nice occasional hauler and tow rig. But I could see it sitting in the yard for two or three weeks at a time between starts. How reliable are these on a semi-regular basis? How are they through cold winters (like a dude from Cali is gonna be able to answer that.)

The Guard and Reserve have been using these on a semi-regular basis (one weekend per month) for 40 years. It's actually how it's designed to be run... Occasionally.

Cold starting can be a bitch at times. You'l; probably want a good heater setup to plug in a few hours prior to your intended use. Also, be advised: The heaters in these things suck big fat donkey balls!!! Dress very warmly!

They are very reliable, and many have a cold start system for -1000 degress.

I am a mechanic for the army reserves....

As long as the batts are hot, and there is air in the tires it will start and run. I have personally seen one of these trucks that has sat for over 5 years fire right up with jumper cables.

The largest problems with these trucks, is sometimes a leaky transmission cooler line, the CTS system (if eqquiped) and shorts between the seats and steeringwheel.
