Many times we actually shorten the deuce bed and use it. Or we use a trailer bed-- we do it both ways. I usually have extra deuce beds for sale-

Couple questions...is that 3x4 box tubing? What wall thickness? Is it just to space the bed up off the frame rails for tire clearance? Are you welding those directly to the bed? On the other 2 pics I quoted, i saw you say something about flipping the wheels, or flipping the hubs? I guess on the rear you can just flip the wheels? What about the front? Is that where you flip the hubs? |

2x3 x .120 -- we only use this spacer when we use a trailer bed for tire clearance. Lately, we have been doing shortened deuce beds instead of trailer beds, and they dont require the spacer. The rear wheels can be run 'dish out', or you can flip the hubs and run them dish in like the fronts. We dont change the fronts.

The dueces do look good with the tall skinny tires and the trailer bed on the back with an axle missing. Even one put together did the TTC!!!
Did you know that M105 trailer has an enclosed fiberglass insert to it from the military? That would make a cool factor of a camper on the back. I'm looking for a M105 bed (also looking for the insert) for my 05 F350 C&C crew. Would you happen to know the measurement for the front of bed to center of wheelwell? Also, what is the height of the wheelwell from the base of the trailer? Suggestion, to tow your crawling Suzi (yah, seen your postings), look into customizing a dual wheeled trailer (M200 lets say). Drop the frame. Cut the axle tubing and weld to the frame (who needs suspension when trailer weighs more than the cargo). The frame width should be wider than your Suzi. Then you can run same 49" tires or the dual wheel setup. A M106 is a dual axle flat bed trailer, but it is in the 5ton range. It would be heavier than your Suzi as well.

Hey, how much room is between the cab and bed when you use the trailer bed? Thinking about getting one and extended the cab, maybe notching the bed a touch if needed. I'd love to have one but I'm 6' 4 and there not exactly comfortable for me to drive. Ever done a quad cab one?
