i bought jim's #7 chassis bare, and grafted the charger front clip on myself, basically built the remainder of the buggy to the clip, had to raise the portion of frame in front of the shock hoops to clear more up travel and sheetmetal. buggy has been done for about 8 months and works terrific. i am currently transplanting a '06 LS-2 in replacement of the LT-1

actually chrysler parts used were;

hood- narrowed 26"- $125
fenders- $40 ea; minor trimming of lower rear at door
bumper cover- $50; trimmed to be simply headlight surrounds
headlights and side markers- $150, & $55; aftermarket ebay stuff
actual chrysler headlamp support cut down for headlamp and bumper cover location and fastening- $300- that was the kicker

before wrap;

after wrap;

Lol, yea I know. But I did roll it in a race, slight crinkling of front edge of fenders and roof, nothing a dolly and hammer didn't handle, with minor scratches to the vinyl.

Getting all the parts ready. Jim said he might get started in the next week or two on the chasis if my CTS hood comes in. Can't wait.

Nice build parts! You will be pleased with Jim and his work.

Blue axles are cool. Everybody knows where you've been.

How much for a bare chassis like number 13 with no mounts at all? Im really liking the simplistic look and design.

13 has alot of. 188 wall tube in it. It is only 48" wide at the cowl. Like pictured it would be $3500. I would recomend +/-52" wide, i think all the guys with 48's would too. It would not changs the price.

Yeah what Jim said, I like my 48" chassis but if it was about 52"s it would be a lot easier to work on and even more comfortable.
Definately do the .188 after a couple years of beatings my chassis is still in great shape.
