had one hell of a weekend. fixed my spring problem (watch the vid above and listen for a tuning fork noise). that noise is the coil spring making contact with the upper coil bucket every time the suspension compressing. i also repacked my bearings to get me by until i get new breaks. this is my coil fix. ![]() ![]() my spindles. pass side ![]() ![]() driver side. ![]()

today i was able to spend a some time on the truck. i was able to take care of some little things. the major one being figuring out a way to make my front fender and hood flow together nicely. VVV as you can see its not so nice.
i picked up 4 of these little hood bumps at the wrecking yard for 5 finger. much better |

i picked up a full width axle today. i was able to pick it up for no cost to me. all i had to do was help the original owner with some things. im also going to go back tomorrow and pick up some move stuff. im glad i have to get the axles re drilled because it need new wheel seals. tomorrow morning im going to strip it down and see what else its go to need. im also going to see what i can can be swapped over from my ranger axle. i

my bounty for today. picked it all up for free charge but i did have to work 6 hours. so hare i worked for this guy for 8 hours and i have pulled over $500 in parts (local wrecking yard prices). all the parts were pulled from a 96 expo. i also scored a cb radio. i was able to pull a functioning tail gate for my dads 85 bronco.

my land lord did not like me stock piling ranger beds in my car port. i had three beds in total two were in the car port and one on the truck . i scraped the white and blue bed which allowed me to install this bed. this bed had the had the bed sides removed. i also installed the bed sides off of my old step side bed (which is the third bed). this is my budget friendly answer to core the wheel when i install the f -150 8.8 next week.
![]() ![]() camper shell clamps work awesome when hanging glass. ![]() ![]() all done ![]() ![]() ![]() before ![]() after ![]() remember this is not going to last long. next week i will be installing the f-150 8.8. |

sadly i have not made any progress with the axle. today i did go to the half off weekend at the local pick and pull. for 10 bucks i walked out with a switch panel with circuit breakers, cb antenna with two bases and a cable.

this last weekend was a success. the plan was to make front end to look legal and get power to the head lights. (the lights are not in there final mounted location) next weekend im planing to get the mini fender mounted to the truck and get the body lines to line up with the stock metal.
if i have time i will make final decision on how i will mount the head lights. im debating on fully glassing the light buckets to the clip (lights go with the clip when it is taken off) or expand on the mounting system that is in use in the picture. (use the stock mount locations on the buckets and core support. lights stay on the truck when the clip is taken off)
