I voted for Shannon, I just don't think RG has enough experience in the rocks to make it happen. The qualifying is going to be interesting!

Campbel not running the new car they built for KOH& TTC?
That car is live axle front and rear. Either way I agree that it is gonna be a tight one between them. Shannon has an edge in the rocks with experience and definately comparable skills in the WOT flat sections. Shannon also has several KOH races under his belt, so first hand experience in this particular race behind the wheel. I dont think any amount of research, coaching , or even prerunning can equate to actual race experience, and the same would go for Shannon in Baja. With that, they are both great drivers with great cars so I will remain undecided on who will take it but think it will be a driver race between them as neither car really appear to hold a significant edge overall in this type of race.

You guys are throwing away a lot of top talent out there by focusing on just these two guys.

RG signed my cowboy hat. So he's got that going for him.
I honestly would like to see an underdog take it in a <$100k vehicle.

I voted for Shannon in the poll but I think a underdog, in a tested car, is gonna take it.
That begs the question, why do so many people start so late in building a racer?

Shannon has the experiance and knows his equipment so he's the obvious choice. I really think Robby will have a good showing. The guy is by far the United states most universal/talented driver. Who's Jason Schrerererer?

Its anyones game for sure. But I feel if Shannons rig holds together he is going to be hard to beat. Everyone playing the attrition game better hope Shannon breaks down cause he doesnt play the attrition game.

Yes they are both smarter than that but as you know Robby likes to push it "Pin it to win it style" And while most times this works in his benefit I think that in a race in which he does not have much experience with....... Let’s just say I am skeptical on how he will do in the rocks. If I had to guess between the two I would have to say Shannon has the edge, just because he has proven his well roundedness for this race. Anybodies race though. We will see. It will be very very interesting.

This year has too many talented drivers and cars to nail it down between just 2 people. I think with RG's limited to no experience on the rock trails will be a hindrance. Learning tire placement and finessing you're way through the rocks is gonna take more than a few days of trail riding.
