Back by popular demand, Desert Rivals 175 will host its 3rd annual open baja desert race in what many say is one of the hottest months of the year, July 28th 2012. Who would have guessed that what started off as just a group of friends with a need for speed in the open desert would end up being one of the most looked out for events of the year. This race has created some excitement and competition between racers from Mexico, California, Arizona, Albuquerque and our very own El Paso, Texas and is why we have called this event "Feel the Heat".
This year our main focus is to increase the amount or racers per race class and to add more race classes to the off road race mix. In past years we have had an average of 6 racers per race class, our goal for 2012 will be 10 racers per class plus add an open class and a Jeep speed class. By us adding more racers to each class we will add more excitement and competition to the event.
This two day event kicks in to gear on friday at El Paso's number one hot spot Speaking Rock Entertainment Center where we will have food and beer vendors and a chance to meet your favorite off road racers. Friday July 27th is our contingency where each racer must have their vehicle and equipment inspected for approval to safely attend the race.
