roll your sleeves up on your racesuit. other than that unless your spending the $$$$ on cooling shirt system. built a custom drinking water tank behind the seats with camelback drinking tubes attached to the bottom. put the filler thru to roof or body side. Then your pit crew can dump lots of cold gatorade into the tank with lots of ice.

fast & easy fill during pit stops.
if your smart you would fill it with 80% ice at the start of the race.

I tired a pumper cooler for our Congress Az 3 hour race.

It worked kick ass in the garage, would freeze your face.

But in the race I think after one lap all the ice water melted and splashed out.
I also think in the car all the uninsulated hose to our helmets heated it up to the same temp as without so never noticed the cooler go dry.

We started practice with a block of ice in a ziplock bag but it need to be ice cubes in water to make the cooler work at all.

I think it could work good but didnt help in my race.
My rig overheated the whole race, drove by temps and still took 3rd. I was comfortable but my passenger threwup in his helmet. I added heat shielding around the exhaust and aluminum heat plates.

To properly hydrate you need to drink water like a fish days ahead of the race. Drinking on race day is too late. Your body can't keep up with the fluid loss when you sweat.

Drinking water is Key, also pedialyte and a decent amount of salt to help retain the water in your body.

Yes... start 6-7 days ahead. Trying to do it all in one day will just make you piss yourself on race day. Also avoid liquor at tech/day before if you can.

Do what has been working since the beginning: Hydrate before the race, stay hydrated during the race & keep the wind in your face/ keep moving....
