You need to put a 1/4" barb under his seat so he can wear a catheter pre-running and just plug it in to keep the carpet dry. That would be awesome!

Progress has been a tad slow due to the weather being pretty gnar...

Ryan and I were bench racing about putting a TTB suspension under a Cherokee the other night and before we knew it the plan was changed. No more solid axle for this one..

We got the front axle and suspension pulled out (FYI, all front susp, Axle and shocks are for sale)
Ryan pulled all the front sheet metal parts off as well as the radiator and related cross members.

Since theres no need to stick to 1700 rules anymore, theres no need for inner wheel wells up front, so we got to cutting....

All cleaned up and waiting for parts now...

Which TTB are you using? D35, 44 or 50?

No reason to start in the back if we dont have to. We can just Zaidenburg our way around the course and probably get a top 20 in TT...

We kicked around the aluminum 35 for weight but decided on a 44 in the end.

you know ford already built one of these right??

consider a d35 ttb with d44 spindles. less weight, correct width for a cherokee, but with better snout design

Really looking forward to seeing this one! You're going to give that torchmate a real workout now. Any plans to run 3700 with it?

I don't think those guys could work on something that wasn't beer can based.

We were able to line up a hub to hub (and then some) TTB set up from a 91 Bronco.

We got everything disassembled and stuck all the parts we’ll be using in solvent washer. Solvent tank stripped them down to bare metal and readied for trussing later.

Temporarily mocked up.
We ordered steel yesterday so we can build a temporary frame on the floor for cycling the suspension and help us get a vision of the new cross member.
Should have a plan together after the weekend.
