We may not have a LOT of racing guys but once they start contributing it will be great. A lot of stuff used for crawling has been used on race trucks previously or currently so the knowledge we gain/share from them is great.
Not to mention the bling on most racers

I have pitted for a race team a few time. And could I say its a fun time. Ill maybe going to racing early next year being a co drive. But Does 1 cars are fast. Wish I could get a ride in one. We where talking to a guy. He say they take race cars. And pay him 7000 Just to get it ready, and thats not counting parts and stuff. They are some big money cars there.

well this is a great addition. I'm building my '79 as a trail/street/prerunner style truck. Wonderful place for tech!

Kick ass new forum! Im looking forward to where this leads. I am becoming more involved in desert racing. I have helped do a little prep on a Class 8 for a local team. I also attend the local desert races here in NM. They are not on the scale of BITD,SNORE, etc but they sure are fun to go to.

This is an awesome addition to the PBB. Hopefully it will bring in a lot of the smaller organizations from around the country. Brian, I read up every so often on NM Sandrails about the racing that is going on out there. Nice to see the sport is moving east.

![]() Finally a place to talk about "That's desert racing stuff, this is a ROCK CRAWLING site" that might be more active than Race Dezert on the tech side. Sure, we ALL want to know what the Flyin' Hawaiin's new Trophy Truck will look like.. but I'd put good tech ahead of that any day.

Wonder if this place could be a throwback to the old prerunner e-mail list days? That would rock ![]() Just as long as no discussions about heat treating and 4130 come up, it will all be good............. Last edited by Bubba Ray Boudreaux; 10-19-2006 at 12:27 PM. |

Been building a hooptie 7 open truck for 3 years now. Time and Money, primarily time... were grossly mis-estimated when I was calculating the build. I'll get out there one of these days.
Edit: and will be riding co-dawg with Lance in this years B1K.

ok im not a racer but know my fair share about desert racing and am involved with a few teams. i orignally found pirate over on DezertRangers and lurk between here and therangerstation for tech advice. i do believe that crawlers and racers can share a welth of information and design techniques, its just knowing what to use and how to use it. anyways lots of people in the racing community are happy about the new desert racing board on here.
