I keep hearing rumors that they had a gnarly class 7 in the works, and then it changed to TT. Don't know for sure, but I never got a chance to beat him. After he flopped it hard in the TT250 in '00,he only came back a few more times and then Larry Roeseler took over as the perennial 7 favorite.
Check out the vids on RDC. There are some good ones including CT's flip in the "unsorted" link (2nd from the left, top row). I still think my fave is Baldwin's road jump at Laughlin (3rd from right, 2nd row up from the bottom). Looks like they got smart so you have to download the videos because I can't just click on the thumbnails anymore. http://race-dezert.com/motion/unsorted/index.html |

I was at the Villa Marina hotel (Ensenada) just before last years Baja 1000 for my pre-run. I saw Marty Coyne (TT #5) & a trailer with a Fabtech sponsored #705. I think that was Craig Turner..not sure.
![]() More pics from last year's pre-run at: http://baja1000.textamerica.com/?_ctgry=19526 I'll be doing a LiveWebCast for this year's Baja 1000, starting Sunday (tomorrow). Pre-running on Monday. http://www.jumplive.com/06baja1000/index.html |

Starting 2007, Barry Karakas is flying Fabtech sponsorship on his Class 7:
http://bkfabworks.textamerica.com Here's an interesting clip from the 1st race this season (SCORE Laughlin): http://laughlindc.textamerica.com/?r...7&_ctgry=20843 There are some places on this Baja 1000 course where there could be a "bottleneck". |
