Baja update from loreto

Wow is all I can say!

Highway one at 3:00 am is fawking insane! 16 hours from Ensenada pulled in Monday morning at 4:00 am. Hit the race course by noon on Monday and ran from check 7 past Loreto and got fricking soaked. Tons of water! Good times for sure. Today we ran from check 7 back ward toward La Purisma on what the map say's is a public road. I don't see that being a road any longer. Plenty of rocks and if your from So Ca. there where long sections of what looks like the 100 yrd dash in deep creek except longer looser and tougher. of course we had to do it at 45 MPH

Bart lost a front control arm bolt and we had to repair that after searching for the bushing. Bart had spare bolts so it was an easy fix..My problem 30 minutes later was a bit more difficult to fix. Believe it or not the trans cooler split and showered my codag with hot fluid. I can not believe it broke. We had 2 part putty to fix the leak and spare fluid. back on the course in about an hour. The course after La Purisma is fairly fast but rough. Avarage speed for us was about 30 MPH with Top speed at 75MPH. Good times for sure! Sorry No pics we are too busy drinking Cervesa!

Oh yea, bart lost his spare yesterday and a group of prerunners found some locals with a brand new MTR 40 and knew it was not there's. They bought it for 100 peso's and tracked us down to return it. $10.00 for a $700.00 tire and wheel. Man Baja rules!
