Here are some updates. Got it ready to fire, except I don't have a starter, also Got the front tore down, finished welding everything, gussted the lower arm and added limit strap tabs and finished the spindle and steering on it. Painted everything, and got the wiring all finished up. Here are some pics.

Not to be a dick, but those welds (bottom picture) have some nasty ass craters in them and will be prone to cracking right through the weld, i would consider grinding the welds done to get rid of the craters, if you reweld don't use the tach method of welding as this is one of the many issues that arise, use a continous weld pleaseeeeeee .

But other than that excellant work.

Nice build. What are you doing for smog in CA? I know, being from California that they have some very strict laws regarding engine swaps and street legality. Most of the smog issues are up to the tech at the smog station, if the tech wants to be a dick, than he will look for everything and anything to avoid smogging the vehicle. Just wanted to help. If you have ony other questions PM me. Sorry for the long post.

that plate is constant welded everywhere but the top, and it's not really needed, it's just there as some extra message. I'm not gonna smog it, it's gonna be green stickered, but I do have 18months till I have to smog it again so it'll be driven around a bit until then.

K cool, an easy way to avoid the craters is to start welding again while the weld pool is still yellow/bright red, and overlap to where the crater will form.

I know how to weld and I did them while the one before was red, if I upped the wire speed a bit it would get rid of the crater's also.
