Just watched it. Too bad the steely dan came in second (our nick name for the millen race truck... before it was the millen race truck).
Oh, and I should add, the millen truck was a pre-production FJ, that had some issues the production ones did not have (like that MAF wiring issue). Last edited by GRMhick; 01-14-2007 at 09:38 AM. |

If you guy's really liked the show e-mail Speedtv and let them know that you liked it and you would like to see more desert racing or shows like that one on Speed. Unless we tell them that we liked it and want to see more they wont know. Here's a link to Speedtv and let them know you comments.

Thanks for the tip, I set up the DVR to record it and watched it today.
Felt bad for the Team Necessary, when they rolled it pre-running before the race even started. Glad to see that they were able to give it a shot, even if they didn't finish, they still made it 800+miles. It just goes to show how tough Baja 1000 can be, Team McMillen had a 5 hour lead, had mechanical trouble and came in 2nd in class by 32 seconds...Lance- After reading your account of racing the Baja, wow, my hats off to Team Pirate, too bad Speed channel didn't record you guys...Did you guys have a film crew with you? Maybe next year?

2nd in line.
i was on the millen crew, had a great time. wish the film crew would have been there for some of the other fun activities! but of course both choppers were on hand when we had the electrical issues. i'm slowly working on an article for Toyota Trails magazine about the trip. i had a great time and got invited back for the 500 and this year's 1000. already looking forward to it!
