SWEET Light Racing Trophy Truck

I found this at Light Racing's Off Road Impact booth. Looks like Bryan Kudella did it again... The very first TT with a disconnecting rear anti-sway bar + Light Racing's new Compact Jounce Shocks. What a work of art!

Bryan told me the first race for this Trophy truck would most likely be the 2007 Parker 425.

hmm intresting design with the disengageable swaybar. better have fast fingers if you ever disconnect it. (why would you want to desconnect it in the first place)

Only $400,000 and you better order it today- It will take them a year to get you your order.

Disconnecting it would give the truck a distinct advantage in slow rough stuff. Each year it seems the course in Baja gets rougher, so having the ability to disconnect the bar is probably a good thing. It would help keep the tires in contact with the ground when articulation is needed. I bet it stays locked up solid 98% of the time though.

Wow. I would have thought it was much more. I thought even the Geiser trucks were more than that.

baja courses are rough....but not so rough that you would find an advantage in disconnecting sway bars IMO

either way....very cool truck!

I totally agree about the truck not being unreasonable in price. The detail on this thing was incredible!! I didn't see any pics of it on this post, but even the cooling fans on the back were beautiful! For the amount of talent put into this truck (design and fabrication wise) I think this truck is incredible and a great deal! Thanks for posting up the pics!

what would you suggest using?? some billet elastomeric bling links ha ha, better than letting them get chewed up by coilovers etc and failing leading to more expensive failures from overextension?? that thing is..............incredible, would like to see what the power plant looks like, one day I keep telling myself

Regardless, sweet truck.

Good catch, but Scotts TT didn't have Light Racing's Jounce shocks. This is the first TT to run them.

Check out the billet air filter housings.

Any one have any more pics of this thing? Specifically, I would like to see how the cantilever arms are built. Thanks.

Do trophy trucks use a torsion style sway bar? If so then the disconecting them will allow them to run a stiffer rate to counter the roll. When are they gonna have self adjustable spring rate/ride height so that they can handle like a rally car then open er up and hit some woops with full travel? I really wanna hit up the parker 425 now, laughlin sucked.

I heard they only had 370,000 into it, at least thats what the dude in the booth said.

$100.00 bucks says it gets wadded up within a year of the first race.

I was told they are currently building another identical TT to this one. They plan to run SCORE this year.
As for a bet...I'll see you on the $100K and raise you one of your killer TJ coilover conversions.

For the people at the show, was Bryan there and did anyone get to talk to him in any length? I talked to him a while back about the geometry of flared holes for my senior design project and need to get back in touch with him. When I talked to him he sounded like he had his hands full making sure Specialty Products was getting off the ground and I didn't know if he was getting away from designing as much but I sure hope not!
