For those interested, there are a few (the first) desert races being held right here in Texas in march and june. Its a big step for getting the sport farther out our way. If you're intrigued by this great sport, there is more info here:

They've been racing out there for Decades. The interest,... and promoter's come and go though. If your involved with the promotion of this race you guy's should contact the guy's at Four Wheel Drive Center in El Paso. The owner's(If he still ownes it ) name is Carlos and he used to have an 8 truck. He's a cool guy and will help you get the word out,let you put flyer's up etc.Alot of his freind's, employees also have car's,Truck's.He'll help get the word out to racer's in Juarez also. We've raced at the location you guy's are going to be running at the lake.We also used to race on the Juarez side when Ceasar Fuentes was putting on races with his organization.(CAJOR-Club Automovilistico Juarez de Off Road.) Good times !!! At the Cajor races Team PLayboy
,the mexican version of the Magazine, would show up with 3 car's, 1,16 car 1,10 car and a CL.1 car. All the car's were black with a big Playboy Bunny symbol on the side. They also brought 4 or 5 scantilly dressed senioritas with them from the magazine to give everybody something to look at besides race cars and the Dez.That was in 97,98,99 Just though I'd give ya a little history. . If your lucky Ceasar,(Primm300 1st overall in 2004 or 2005) will show up with his CL.1 Porter and put on a show.Anyway have fun !!!
