So, you're impressed by his balls then. Not the jump.

are you 16 years old? I was clearly not impressed by any of it.
I agree with Lance i had a 88 camry wagon that could have hit that jump just the same (would have taken a nother couple minutes to get up to speed) Ian-

I knew that comment was going to come sooner or later. Im not saying i have the balls to do it, but with all the other crazy shit guys like T Pastrana do, im just not impressed, when they set up an ideal jump with a bad ass car, put a bunch of tv cameras there and jock it like its the craziest thing ever it just takes all the glory out of it. Things are much easier when ideal. Lets see them hit a jump even half that, in a race with some ruts from dirt bikes, a bit of wind, and a touch of mud. I bet they'd be driving around it. Ian-

Nice reason for editing. Yes i am a jackass, and im getting a bunch of shit for an opinion. Like i said, he has balls, yes it is crazy. I am just not impressed, why... because ive seen much crazier shit. My exact expression when watching said subaru "that was cool" If i was really impressed i would say " holly shit... hey guys come check this out" Yes i understand what it is like jumping a car with 6 inches of travel. I have never done it. Maybe one day i will understand and look back on this conversation and be convinced as to how much of a jackass i am. Edit. just noticed that your probably just sticking up for your friend who i ripped on, i guess i had it coming, because that is the way of the PBB. Ian-

Somebody donate a car and I'll drive it like I got one foot in the grave.
Here's the last 'donor' car. Hit that Nova at 65. (it's been 7 years and 1 month...so I think it's safe to post) ![]() Good times! Last edited by EMIEVEL; 02-14-2007 at 12:51 AM. |

It is impressive to me that a rally Subi could huck that and still be drivable. Anything could get the distance, it's what happens upon landing that scares me. That car is bone stock except for the cage, and the rally rules on cages are that they may only protect the driver, not strengthen the rest of the car. As far as I know, Block still drives that car for practice. I agree that Block could have definitly gone bigger, but for that show they always have guys doing reletivly conservative stunts so they are garunteed to land it, or break a record.

Here's some real jumping with a rally car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23oYPTjHdSw
Mikko Hirvonen jumped 136ft in a competition on snow and ice on a road thats 10' wide. Then their the Nowegian driver Henning Solberg that claims that he'd jumped 180ft on the same jump . That jump wasnt offically measured but with pictures of the landing spot they could estimate it to 180'. Finally there is the Estonian driver Jan Mölder that came over the same jump in much higher speed than the other (the others= 90mph) and the spectators claimed that the jump was at the same height as the tree tops with a length of around 230-260ft . The evidense besides the spectators was that he landed on the nose and hit a big rock and stopped first after he had knocked down a big tree.
