We have been running it on our rockcrawler for about 2 years and love it. You can take a look at www.teamsharkattack.com. |

Would you mind posting more pics and specs on that suspension. Thanks
Neil

We have about 23" of travel before the diveline bottoms out. for the spring rate yes. 250 over 350 with a 90 helper. We could go to a 12" coilover and it would have the same travel, but we had the 14" kings all ready. For pics I will try to post some over on the team forum for you guys. bill |

As long as we're on the subject, all my suspension knowledge comes from racing mountain bikes, and the frame companies I worked with were always trying to get as low a ratio as possible. They did it to make the shocks last longer, is there a duribilty issue when you try to get 23" of travel from a 14" shock or is it a non-issue with truck suspension?

For off road, 2:1 is fine, 3:1 or more is undesirable. 1:1 is not uncommon, but it limits travel to shock length, and it causes very high shaft speeds.
chevymudtruck, if you search dezertrangers.com, you will find a lot of info on those setups. There are full blown designs like the Baldwin TT, to simple under bed shocks on a bell crank. |

Makes sense, on bikes it works about the same way, 3:1= a blown shock 2.5:1 is pretty common and a few companies are just starting to look at 2:1 and 1:1
