Post wins overall in Baja 250!

So after SCORE reviewed the police detainment of Post, they recalculated his time, and gave him the overall!

Taken from SCORE's website -

http://www.score-international.com/sanFelipe/2001/1.htm

TROPHY TRUCK RESULTS NOTE:

Unofficial Trophy Truck results posted at the San Nicolas Hotel in Ensenada listed Mark Post #3 as 6th Place. SCORE has reviewed the facts surrounding a police detainment of the Post race vehicle. This detainment occurred just prior to and within full view of the timed finish line in Santo Tomas. The detainment was witnessed by a senior SCORE official. The detainment was not race related. Mark Post did not violate any SCORE mandated highway rules on any of the six highway sections. The official results have been recalculated to account for the 4 minutes and 33 second detainment and this moves Mark Post to his correct finishing position of 1st Place in class.

What a bummer, but Points wise I'm glad Baldwin ended up 4th, It will be interesting to see what the season points look like now.

Congrats to Frank Thing. I'm sure that team would like a podium but what an undertaking for a privateer team racing Trophy truck in a Chevy powered Ford Ranger with a chevy front clip. Nice Job!

I can't believe Ashcroft finished 13th in class 1600. He came in our pit with serious electrical problems at check 1. Major Short was fixed with some duct tape and zip ties we dragged his car around with the crawler untill it would fire and he was back in the hunt.

Anybody know what happened to TT #35 Robbie Pierce? (Mastercraft)

Just Curious.

It is amazing that Post won and was arrested...There has to be a joke in there somewhere.

Not really sure what happened to him. But we lost a transmission at RM130 and we got a flat at about RM60. We sat for about 2 hours letting the tranny cool down, and then we were luckily able to cruise nice and slow about 20 miles at a time, stop, let the tranny cool, and then continue to finish the race. Major bummer, but at least we were able to finish!

Do you guys know what failed on it? Tranny's seem to be the weak link on TT's. Who is building his tranny's?

802 289 DNF NOAH OSTANIK Came into our pit with a broken rear link, and asked for a welder. We did not have one but we said we had cold beer. He looked at his co driver smiled and said," Well thats the race! We'll take one of them cold drinks" Nice guys they jumped right into helping other racers get back in the race.

Man I can't wait till June!
