Apparently he only roosted the cop car (not his fault), then proceded to go the speed limit while said cop "chased" him. Then was finally stopped a couple hundred meters from the finish. Oh well, running from the police is still illegal--though I'm not sure I wouldn't have done the same.

The scary thing is who is holding the guns...I'm used to the military carrying weapons like that, but not the federales (sp?).

I guess things have changed since I raced the Baja (2000). I don't remember any speed limits...or rules for that matter!

I was wondering the same thing, of course I've never seen one, but a friend used to have this tee shirt that had a plant on it

If you watch the video close it looks like a couple of the natives reach into the truck and try and take anything that isn't bolted down! Not very surprising

That is kinda fucked up man. I parked my Exploder right next to the race coarse with locals everywhere and left the hatch up so I could hear the Weatherman during th B1k. Not all locals are thieves and shitheads.

Having said that, it took all of 20 minutes to get my credit card stolen in Ensenada.
