SCORE vs. Jeepspeed

so ive been doing some research in anticipation of building a jeepspeed with my dad so we can fulfill a life long dream and race the baja 1k.

i haven't ordered the SCORE rule book yet. plan to soon. i'm assuming for the 1000 the SCORE rules supercede jeepspeed rules.

are there any pitfalls to look out for in this? will a standard jeepspeed setup meet SCORE regs? if not, what are some specific items that are different or more stringent under the SCORE regs?

thanks

One of the bigest things for score is saftey. Meaning cage requirements, saftey gear. Weight of car sets the cage requirements.

The only thing SCORE checks for in class 17 is safety so build the cage, fuel cell, fuel cell fire wall seats and seat belt mounts to SCORE spec

If you need any help on parts like a cage kit give us a call (775)885-9955

If you intend to race this years 1000 get started really soon. Unless you have lot of free time it takes a long time to complete one. Good luck it is worth it.
