Baja 500 Pre Race Report

It's gonna be a tough race! The uphill silt beds @ 375 are going to eat limited cars for lunch.

It's gonna be wild. I will be ironmanning the entire race.

It's much tougher than it sounds, especially when you call EVERY corner like I do.

Where's the report? What car are you riding in? How many Tecate's have you had this week? This is the shortest report I ever read! I hope your race lasts longer that his....

Yes Lance does call every corner - much like Rally - 1-5 depending on radius / corner speed. A whole bunch of concentration on the GPS and notes without puking in your helmet.

Until he falls asleep that is................

Sorry, our internet connection sucks. Anyhew, going pre running after contingency @ 10:00am. We are going to go run the last 100 miles again. We've been around the course about 1.5 times so far. It's going to be a good race. The #2 TT is in good shape, new tranny, new rear end, rebuilt shocks, motor is stronger than ever. We start 7th off the line.

Lance, what happened at the hard left that you guys blew at BFG pit 1? Bench racing while waiting for the trucks/buggies, I told the boys about your rally style call out for EVERY corner...took a little heat for you afterwards.

You guys weren't the only ones BTW. Early in the race the locals were parked there, couple of bikes/quads missing the turn convinced them to move.
