New Pro 435 4 speed? Anyone Familiar?
Okay, I have a '62 Scout, but someone put in a Chrysler 383, and used the original tranny and transfer. They had a conversion shaft made to fit the T 19 up to the 383. Well, they let the tranny run out of oil, so now I need a new one. A friend suggested a New Pro 435 4spd. Could anybody give me the low-down on these tranny's? Where I can find'em, price, compatability, stuff like that? Thanks a Ton! Larko

You can find them in any of the dodge trucks from at least 64 (maybe older ) up to the mid 80's. Ford also used quite a few of them Chevy used some in their 1 tons. They were used in trucks from 1/2 ton up to at least 2 ton. They have a 6.55 granny gear and are almost indestructable.
