The rear axle will be a D60 the front axle depends on the GVWR. The light duty GVWR will have a D44 while the heavy duty will have a D60. both will have 4.10 gears.

All the 3/4 ton trucks used a D60 rear axle reguardless of whether 2wd or 4wd. All of them I have seen have been 30 spline.

cool. I found one locally the yard wants $200 for it.
One of these days I'm gonna walk in with $150 cash and see what happens. It's complete, still on the truck and looking pristene. For $200, maybe I can get him to throw in the wheels. Is there much for converting this thing to 6 bolt? If so, I know I have to stick with the standard 30 spline inner but I can go 35 spline outer right? Using 14 bolt parts... All I've found is for front conversions.. |
