T-case for a TF 727?
Hey guys I have very limited knowledge on Dodge products. I was wondering if someone could tell me what t-cases came mounted to a TF 727? I am working on a conversion project and I need something as short as possible.
Thanks in advance. |

The A727 could have either a a 203-205-208-or a 241 in the 1/2 ton and larger. In the dakota you could also find the 231. The A727 was also used in Jeeps and Scoutswhere it could be mated to a D20- D300-NP207-NP208-and the NP231.
As far as length is concerned the 203 is the longest. The 205 with the adapter to the round pattern-the 207-208-231 and the 241 are all the same length. I think the D20 and the D300 are the shortest of the bunch but are not really suitable for use in fullsize trucks I would also avoid the 207 and 231 in fullsize trucks. That leaves the 205 -208 and 241. Of these the 205 is the most bullett proof but only has a 1.96 low range.. The next best would be the NP241. It is used in the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks and has (I think) a 2.62 low range. The 208 was used in 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks from 80 thru 88 and has a 2.62 low range..
