Anyone know where I can find one.

My brother has a problem with no power upto the key switch, anyone have any clues what to look for of problem areas that are common?

thanks

I would be checking for a burnt fusible link or a bad connection at the terminal block that is at the firewall.

This is assuming that you have checked for a dead battery or bad battery terminals, etc. already. These old vehicles are so simple that there isn't much that it could really be.

Also check the plug where the switch plugs into the harness. There are two plugs at the bottom of the steering column, one is for the turn signal switch, and one is for the ignition switch. It's common for the terminals in these plugs to burn up and cause connectivity problems.

You can get a wiring diagram out of a Chiltons or Haynes manual. Look for the plastic connector at the firewal to see if there was a melt down. The alternator wires run through there to go to the amp meter. It was a common problem on the older Dodges.
