i have a late 60'searly 70's dana 44 w/ drum brakes im wanting disc brakes i have a 80's model chevy dana 44 w/ disc brakes can i switch out the spindels at the balljoints

That old axle is probably closed-knuckle. If that's the case, you can't just swap the outers.

These guys have a kit... good pics too to see what it entails.
