Very clean job!! Did you do the work yourself? If so I commend your work! If not.. I commend the work of whoever did! I have been considering doing that myself with a wrecked Dodge I have seen laying around here... How is the fuel economy on that versus a fullsize truck? I am sure the power is outstanding with the 30 lbs of boost! Shoot me a pm with more info and pics if you would please!

6BT-Dakota, don't PM him, tell us all everything! start a thread on that bad boy if you don't have one elsewhere that you can point us to.

That's only the 2nd 6BT Dakota I know of, the other being the Banks diesel pickup landspeed record holder. Sweet ride.

Where in PA are you? Do you wheel it, and where?

I'd love to see it.

My friend Eric and I did all of the work on my truck. Thanks for the compliments. My fuel mileage is like 22 mpg. The power is really good even thou it is still 6400 lbs. It get more then 30 lbs of boost it is more like 45-50. You can see as many pictures as you want on my myspace http://www.myspace.com/6btdakota

I dont have a thread on this website but it has been featured on a few others. Im actually from Scranton, PA. I do not wheel it, it is strictly a pavemant pounder. It is strictly a show n shine truck with a ton of power.

If any one has any questions just shoot me a email: rbelardi@att.net.

that's too bad. need more Cummins trucks on the trail.

You've got a good 500# on my truck if that's unloaded weight. My trail weight with spares, tools, gear and food is right about there.... Too bad those motors are so damn heavy.

That is totally unloaded with very little fuel on board and me out of the truck. You have to figure that a V8 is somewhere in the weight range of 700-800 lbs and the cummins is over 1400 lbs. plus the trans and t-case are heavier. If you are going with a 5 or 6 speed they are even heavier. Plus I would think that the 6bt would have way tooo much torque for trailing I think you would be better off with the 4BT if a trail buggy is what you are trying to acheeve.

yes. yes I do. and if you've got one for one of us you'd better have one for all of us.

This thread did just deserve a big fat R but the 6bt Dakota posting up made me shut my face about that....
