Central Iowa Powdercoating has a non skid powdercoating finish.
Also a few other descriptive sayings are; "fuck up an anvil with a feather duster" "ruin a hammer in a sand pile"
By the way, this is how PUTCO got started. Farmer had the idea about running boards, welding shop made a set, and then the next farmer wanted a set, then some city guy wanted his chrome plated, and off it went!
Killer looking fab work !!!

Yes, we can do a spray on coating, I am a Speedliner dealer also. I am trying hard this week to get alot of different Dodge truck's in here to get set's made up so I can price them. I hope by the end of the week I have them ready to go. Trying to get them to hurry up with our credit card machine right now and get shipping working out. This kinda blew up on us, we are working hard at getting these out asap, please hang in there and we will get them out as soon as we can. Thanks. Mike

We had to take a hard look at how we are doing these yesterday, just taking to long. So I put in a phone call for some help to a friend. We are now going to have all the bracket's cut on a plasma table and shipped into us, it will go much fast and be cheaper. We should get the first test set this week still and then get our first big batch in and get going. I'll keep showing mock up photo's as we go along making some for each Dodge we can get our hand's on. I am going to say it will be late next week before we are ready to ship any. On the other hand by today we should have at least 3 set's for a 4 door done. Here are some pic's with them mounted to my megacab, this set will not be for sell because some retard did not put a block under them and (I) bowed them pretty bad, first set I have messed up but I was in a hurry to get pic's of them up here so these will stay on my truck after I get the flat bed back from paint.

I got the price's back from the cutter yesterday and we have built most of what we are going to build for now. I still need to get a 02 and earlyer super cab style truck in here to make a set. My dad has an 02 so I'll try to get his in here soon and get a set built for that. The running board's are made from 1/8" X 2" X4" reg. tubing and 1 3/4 " X .120 HREW round tubing, no need for D.O.M. here but I can make them like that if you want, they will just be higher in price. The flat plate on top with dimples die work is 14 gauge. They are not has heavy as you might think. I have a fright scale ordered so I'll weigh them as soon as it get's in. I am taking four set's to have powdercoated and one set spraylined today so I'll have price's on that as well. I am building one set today for a race team back east that will be a Mega cab ext. (fender to fender) but I am making them out of 3/16 X 2X 4, they are heavy, I'll see how they turn out and let you all know. I am praying I have prices ready to go by the weekend and can release them on monday, if all goes well the next two day's. Thanks for the kind word's. Mike

Jusst took a short break for lunch. The bed is at paint now, but the painter is at the SEMA show So it will be a few day's until I get it back and installed. I am knocking out another set of board's for a mega cab today and I got a 1999 Dodge super cab in the shop now also, I'll try to get the super cab done today and pic's posted later on tonight, but every bracket on it is different so we are mocking thing's up as we go. Hope to get you all pic's tonight. I put off going to the powdercoat guy today so I could get this done first so I'll head his way on friday so we can get price's for these nailed down by the weekend

Ok, here are some pic's of the super cab I knocked out today, got a friend's truck and got them done tonight. I am headed to get five set's powdercoated and one set lined in the morning and get price's and them. I am praying I'll have thing's worked out buy saturday for pricing them. I have been over run with people wanting them for the chevy and GMC, they will come but not until we have all our duck's in a row on these.

A few ??? for all of you.
If you order them bare, what are you going to do with them?? Have them painted to match?? Have your own guy powdercoat them?? Have them lined with a spray on liner?? Use a rattle can??? What else can I offer you to ship them out ready to bolt onto your truck??

Here are the photo's.

Like I said before, all the bracket's we are making now we are using a plasma to cut them. We are now having them cut on a table, after we mock up each set I'll ship them out to be aproved and get them cut in bulk. I got into it with the steel guy today about price's, in two week's, after they get in enough for us to start, all the running board's will be made with D.O.M. and not HREW, I don't think it is that big of a deal on running board's but after he got his price were we wanted it I said let's do it It's all about giving the customer what they want, Right?? I am off to bed, later.

I was gonna bedline mine in black or colormatch. the only problem is that my body color is hard to match, its inferno red pearlcoat. ive had to paint stuff twice due to trying to match the color. what kind of liner do you use for them? there is a linex(i think) place that colormatched my color sucsessfully.

We got all the powdercoating info and pricing all taken care of friday. I dropped off a set to be lined but the owner was not there to give me a price, I'll go back monday and get it worked out. We are done with pricing now. Still need to get shipping worked out. I'll post in here and in the Vendor's section by monday night, with photo's of a few set's powdercoated and be ready to take order's and get this part of the ball rolling. I want to say thank you to all of you for your input on these. Stay tuned, I'll have thing's posted by monday evening
