Ok, so one of my fraturnity brothers is out of his mind <IMG SRC="smilies/rasta.gif" border="0"> and wants to lift his Dakota. Its 4wd so Fabtech is out. Any ideas? I think he should just but a beater zuk to tow behind it caus the balljoints, steering ect. are weak. And IFS sucks. He really wants to use it to wheel and not be a poser rig. My best idea is to make out own SA conversion but i dont think he'll go for it.

what year is it? The only lift you can get is a 4" Trailmaster for the 91-96 models. Rancho makes a 3" and Tuff Country makes a 5.5" lift for the 97-99 models. The only other option is body lift for manufactured lifts. There is always the option like you said of a solid axle swap. Sometimes actually cheaper and he will have much better and stronger results as long as it is done right. Thats all I can offer for now.
