1998 dodge ram 4x4 Good truck?

does any body have any good or bad info on a 1998 dodge ram 4x4? it's got the 5.2 liter motor. I'm thinking about buying this truck and pulling a small horse trailer. pros/ cons? anybody?

My wife has a 99 With the 360 and it is a p.o.s. It has no power the trans is shifting all the time, even with the overdrive off. It is on its 2nd or third trans. The front trackbars (I belive that is what they are called) clunk all the time and make a lot of noise. Sometime when you pull the key out you can still start the truck with out it. The M.P.G. are very low. I hate to drive it on winding roads becasue the windsheild pillar and door frame get in the way of left hand turns so I have to lean my head and look out the driverside glass. Overall I hate this truck I think it is a p.o.s. But I am one of the few that feel this way about those trucks it seems. We had a 98 Chevy before and it out performed in everyway. I am hoping that the lack of power is because I live where there are lots of hills and this thing has 3:55 gears so I bought some 01 dodge sport axles with 4:11 so when I put those in I hope that it will help. In conclusion I would say this truck is a very poorly made truck and should be avoided I would go with something else. I haqve towed with it and was not impressed. All this and it only has 40k miles on it. Look at your other options first.
