almost have all the parts needed to do the swap. i have a 6bt and a 47RH 241hd t-case. maybe this weekend im gonna pull the 5.2 out. i also have a dana hp60to replace my hp44

I'm hoping this is an intro to a build thread for the 4BT swap. If it's just a "Hey look, I can park on cars and I'm going to swap an engine sometime" post then I'll just have it deleted. Needs tech.

. im waiting for my 47RH tranny to get done. should have other parts in the mail this week. long story short i have everything or its on the way. if i missed anything i have the funds to buy it.

getting 4bt resealed painted. should have tranny by Friday.

need to rid my truck of the boat anchor 5.2.

should be painless as long as my four link setup isn't going to cause any clearance issues

Wish I was doing this to my Dakota. Needs a re-link and coilovers and better rear springs way before anything happens to the 318 other than better exhaust though.

so i bought this 1992 diesel and im gonna put a 6bt in there now. i cant resist.

gonna put the 4bt in my plow truck.
i know its gonna be alot more work but it will be oh so cool. so now i have to reseal this 6bt pig dont need a leaking pos.
will be pics this weekend.. anyone need a 5.2 and a 46re with only 88k on them?

its about 350 lbs more than the 4bt. so its not to bad.

well got the 4bt cleaned resealed and painted just in time to do the same to the 6bt.

at least the 6bt isn't so damn greasy

well i have the motor in. have the motor mounts 90% finished. next is the tranny mount the old one is going to interfere with the font drive shaft.

i like how they came out

its a tight fit

well it ben two days and i got the v8 out, diesel in and mounted. now i am looking at the new four link. is there a four link calculator for a parallel front four link? Ive searched and cant find one.

Check out Jennskennels build for a trans mount. I copied the one that was made for his truck to put a 47rh in my 93 to fix the front drive line problem and it works great. Need to know exactly where the trans will line up before you have it bent and the pieces cut so you don't have to make it twice

I think one on here does allow you to change the links to parallel instead of triangulated. I'll see if I can find it on my computer
