Bill H.R.6156
This a bit of hijack but thought it worth it.
I was in the Owens Valley after the memorial day weekend. This bill co-sponsored by B.Boxer in the Senate and "Buck" McKeon in the house could effect off roading in the White Mountains and surrounding areas. It creates large tracks of wilderness areas and will severely limit access. Some of the locals that worked on it and support ORV access are crying foul, that they were duped and flat lied to on the whole mess by McKeon. The Inyo Register has several articles on it.

If the link is still active, pull down a set of the maps and se for yourself what the impact could be.
ftp://ftp.drivehq.com/hr6156maps/maps/ If this link becomes inactive, I will ensure they are posted for all to see. At this point in time, the proposal does exceed what recreation interests were expecting. When you look at the maps and the overall impact, it MAY not be that bad. I encourage everyone to take a look at the maps and post areas/issues of concern. To get to this point has been a long contentious effort. Please, review the maps and post your issues.
