I'm suposed to meet up with a group to ride dirt bikes in Ballarat in April. Are trails open or are they all shut down?

Ballarat is a small square of private property. Good for meeting, then you leave.

Technically, you need street legal to ride any of the trails. And you will be doing trail rides, nothing hardcore. Scenic, historic and it should be a great time to be riding out there. Be prepared for dust.

Please respect the trails and the area. You will be on BLM and National Park service lands. You will be under the juristdiction of both CHP and Inyo Sheriffs too.

i was in Trona today---- looking at the Pamamint range, there is still snow on the tops of the ridges and hills above Ballarat-----

Even if the Pleasant Canyon/South Park loop is snowed shut in APril (doubtful) you have plenty to do. Bring gas
