New Name, Same Forum... - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

So we've had a forum name change - But thats all.

Hi everyone.

The purpose of this forum is still the same, but since theres hasnt been any activity in the canyon to speak of lately, I ran the idea by Lance of opening the forum up to include surrounding areas. He liked the idea of an Eastern Sierra forum and many of the Panamint Valley/Death Valley visitors also enjoy the Saline Valley, Bodie, Cerro Gordo, touring the Emigrant Trails, etc. Id like to see more activity here so feel free to post about anything in these areas.

This is still a "Land Use" as well as "Trails" forum so if you hear about any regional land use issues speak up. There is a great amount of land use talent lurking and active here.

From Surprise Canyon to the Black Rock Desert, the Sweetwater Range to Bonneville Salt Flats, Mt. Whitney to Badwater, Goose Lake to Saint George, it all goes here.
Done any exploring ? Find anything neat ? Any secret fishing spots ? Any ideas for future trips ?

Excellent idea as there is a lot going on back here in Cali's back yard!!
We need to promote support for a law suit that an access group has filed against the Humbolt-Toiyabe NF. The Coalition for Public Access is taking the Forest on and needs support, but I need to do more research before starting a new thread on it.

If anybody knows the details on this, please post it up. Thanks, Pirate!!

Very good name change and expansion. I do a fair amount of exploring in the GB and will post up more of the stories like the one I did on Surprise Canyon a couple weeks ago.

Cool I've been wanting to do more exploring of Nevada. Looking forward to some trip reports.
