Purpose of this forum?
To help noobs learn how to do the job right?
EE's aruging the finer points of shit the rest of us don't understand? ![]() A dozen posts wanting to know if the stock fog light wiring will run 100w Daylighterts? None of the above? All of the above? It's here, might as well do this shit right, I say. I'm far from an expert on wiring, but I believe in doing it right the first time. What say ye, electrical gurus?

It took a LOT and I do mean a mothafuckin LOt of mistakes for me to learn how to correctly wire shit
and I mean even stupid crap like using crimp connectors. (crip connectors, not scotch-loc fawkin things) I used those bitches in SOCAL and everything was great, then I moved to Maryland....and road salt Now everything is adhesive line heat shrinked and soldered. Its a nice forum for some noob to go "how the hell do I wire this" or an experianced person to do "hey, does this look right?" Automotive wiring scares people for some reason. All worried of letting the magic smoke out of their rig.

I prefer to think of it as seeing how quickly they can show their stripes, and how much pushback there will be... I notice it only took 2-3 days for the Optima logo to disappear. Took 2 years of slow changes for us to get fed up enough to jailbreak from another site I'm on.

I would like to think this could be a place for one of the most mystical and intimidating aspects of what we do to be discussed so that people can gather both information AND increased comfort with wiring and electrical issues.

best part of not doing your electrical right the first time is if ur job is done real proly others get to enjoy the fire show the rig becomes.
out of all parts to cut corners on a project wiring isnt one of them. i hope this part of the forums becomes not so much a bunch of random questions with bs answers but more of a go-to place for real tech and tricks.
