Aux input for Dash
Not very hardcore, but coming up empty. I am looking for a 3.5mm Aux Input jack that will mount in the dash. the kicker is, I need it to have a female input in the rear, as opposed to the common male input.
Just for info, I am putting a Scion stereo in my DD Toyota, with an input cable that plugs into the back. The cable terminates into a male 3.5mm. I am looking to plug this male 3.5mm into a dash mount female in the dash. |

This one looks great...but the shipping makes it over 20 bucks.

Wait, you need a female panel mount 3.5mm input that you want to put in your dash and you want a cable coming off of it that leads to a male 3.5mm connector that plugs into the back of your radio?
I assume you were planning on just using a female to female panel mount barrel and plug a male to male cable into the back of it and the radio right? |

I know its somewhat confusing.
I am looking for a panel mount female/female connector. Basically, the aux cable that I have terminates in a male end. I could just use that plug my ipod into, but would prefer something a bit more aesthetically pleasing. I would like to have a pass through connector with female ends on both sides, basically a couple that will mount in the dash, and look decent. |

I hadn't seen that one..but shit, fifteen bucks. May be the way I wind up going, but was looking for options, maybe something in a hard mount as opposed to a cable. May be my only option, though., short of building one.

Can you solder? I've got bags of panel mount female 3.5mm stereo input jacks but they're solder terminal, not a pass through. If you don't mind cutting the plug off the stereo cable you could knock this out pretty cheap and you wouldn't have to worry about the thing coming unhooked in the dashboard once you put it all back together.
