120V Relays?
I've done enough with 12V relays to feel comfortable with it. But I've got a project where I want to switch a bunch of 120V stuff - basically a control panel for A/V and computer stuff.
Seems like it would be fairly simple - 120V 15A to 20A stuff. But my searches are turning up a pretty wide range of prices - anywhere from $10 for a relay up to $70 and then some going to $100s... I must be missing something here. Simple solution would be to wire up light switches, but I want a small control panel up front with the relays tucked back into things. Besides, light switches would be the ghetto way out...

I've used and worked on equipment with inexpensive to high dollar relays. Manual and PLC controlled. You can use the relatively cheap ones for what you stated. The plug-in ones probably be your best bet. If it fails just pull & replace. Like the old fashion tube type equipment. Something like these from McMaster-Carr.

Thanks for the input - and the source, Grumpy.
Looks like these will do the trick - for under $5 a piece. Not sure what I was making so difficult that I was turning up the bazillion dollar versions before.
