Anybody run Hella 1000 Power Beams?

I got 4 of these for free, they are Hella 1000 Power Beams with the "unbreakable" lenses. Cost about $225 to $250 a piece new...

They any good?

It's Hella. They have been in the lighting game since the beginning and have always made great stuff. These are a work light, not a driving light, but should give a great even flood of light. They should also last for most of your life.

Thumbs down

Your situation is the only way I would use those (free). 6 LED's giving only 850 Lumens, for $250?!? Fuckin weak sauce.

Or maybe Hella is just honest about the lumen output and not making up some wild ass claimed number based on the manufacturers output rating for the individual LEDs.

They may not be as bright but I can guarantee they will far outlast almost any other lights out there, I know I will shake the truck apart before I hurt them...

Like said above, these are work lights, but from having them mounted on the Frac trailers at work I like the light they put out and how they put it out, and surprisingly they are pretty bright...

Got them on the truck tonite and took some crappy pictures, I got to get them wired up tomorrow afternoon if I have time...

I still have to wire up my reverse/work lights under the rear bumper and my underhood (stock light sucks balls) and underbody lights as well. I am going to tap into the interior light circuit and mount a set of LED's below the doors to light up the ground when I open the doors up...

I think those quadrupled the value of that bumper.

Yes it did, I hate the brush guard but my dad likes it and he gets mad when I want to take the head light covers off.

I got the outter lights wired up tonite and have to do the inners tomorrow. They will make good work lights at night when you don't need the bright fucking head lights...

Thanks,
Richard

I love them, I still haven't finished wiring my inner ones yet but I can confidently say I can drive at night with just the outter ones on and still see good. Not as far reaching as the stock low beams BUT they broadcast well enough to use if I lost my headlights and still drive at a reasonable speed...
