Looking for some small led lights that can be used as both running and turn signals on front of my buggy. Need a complete assembly that has bulbs for.both in amber

Search around for street rod lights. There are many shapes and sizes available. One example HERE

Good luck

i tried there but cant seem to find what i am looking for. i dont have a control module to make the single bulb switch between running and turn signal so i need something that 2 lights in it that do 2 functions or some sort of electronics that do that for me but i dont know what it would be called so i dont know what to search for.

These won't work?

Also, if that doesn't suit your fancy, you could use a trailer light converter like so.

In that case, use the trailer light converter I posted above. That'll take your three wires (running, left turn, right turn) and make them work with a single function light. Your marker lights will work just like the tail lamps on an older American car - on solid with the marker lights, blinking with the turns.

i have 2 of them, one for the front and one for the back but never could get them to work right so I got aggravated and pulled them out. Im not sure why they wont work, not sure if it is an issue with LED lights and not enough draw or what the problem is. im also now looking for diodes to put on the turn signals so they dont back-feed. is there a particular amp or something that I should look for?

I don't think that's right. Those converters are for a system with amber turn/ dual element red tail/brake to a dual element tail/brake/turn. They also prevent backfeed from lighting your entire system when you step on the brake or turn.

Might be a resistance problem with the LEDs - that seems to screw up a lot of stuff. If that's the case, you can find a resistor of the correct ohms to wire inline (I think SuperBrightLEDs.com sells them) or just find a different solution.

You're correct that converters are intended for a dual-filament system, but I've never actually seen one that bothers with the low-intensity filament (parking lights). Since that's on a separate wire on every vehicle I know of, that's it's own thing. Look at the wire inputs on the one I posted. It takes the three bright signals (left turn, right turn, brake) and turns them into two bright signals. My suggestion was to hijack the brake functionality and make it into the parking lamp function - the light will be bright when the parking lamps are on, and blink off to signal.

If the LEDs don't have enough resistance to make it function, however, that's another story entirely.

use any marker light housing that fits, just replace the bulb with a drop in LED.
