7.3 IDI help?

Hey everyone. I have lurked around Pirate for years, but haven't made an account until now. I have a rather pressing question about my truck. It is a 1990 F-350 7.3 IDI 4X4. Anytime a wire shorts out on the truck, the electrical system shuts down. At least until I hot wire the injection pump solenoid and crank it with a screwdriver. I know this is just a factory circuit breaker, but I would like to know how to get rid of it. The reason being, I have a few resistance wires run to the fuel tanks from the WVO conversion and whenever the tanks are being heated, the electrical shuts down from the extra current being pulled. Any idea where I could find this circuit breaker? Thanks in advance. Y'all have had a large part in getting my truck to where I want it.

Several kinds of circuit breakers out there. The key would be: Howm many amps? Search 12v circuit breakers on Ebay for ones that reset themselves to resettable.

You might start out with a fuse in the line. Start small until you get to something that you like and then replace with a breaker.

There may be more than the one line going to the fuse you are now blowing so you can't just put in a breaker smaller than that one.

Of course I am guessing at your application, but you might pick something out of it. Good Luck.
