CB Ground
My friend has a 2001 Dodge 1500. We mounted a Cobra 29 LTD in his truck with a 3 foot Firestik in the bed. Our only problem is the ground... I know to ground off the mount since its top loaded. I just don't know where to run the ground wire to or what gauge wire to run. HELP

I'm going to piggy-back on this. one rather then start a new thread.
I've got a Cobra 19 in my ZJ, I actually just wired it today. I mounted it, along with some RG-58 (iirc) coax, a big-rig mirror mount bracket, and until yesterday, a 4' fiberglass stick a month or so ago. Yesterday I finally hit up a radio shop and bought the stainless steel 102" whip I wanted. Before I drag the SWR meter out, I need to know: I mounted the antenna bracket on my stock roof rack, which is metal, but the ends are plastic. I need to run a ground wire from the antenna bracket to the roof (or something), correct?
