Just had Jim aka Satan on this board cut down my wiring harness for my 4.0 swap. He did one hell of a job so if u need this process done to convert ur harness to a four wire stand alone harness hit up Satan aka Jim brooks with the devils workshop.

I need to have my harness built or use the 92 xj harness to work in my 95 yj.. from what i find you are the man for this job..

Um this is the electrical forum so I'd say it in the right place. A stand alone harness isn't exactly a bolt on buy it from quadratec type of modification.

What I do is cut down the factory 92 style Cherokee harness to run in a buggy or whatever.
I can get a harness for you or use yours.
You end up with 3 wires to hook up. 12v constant. 12v switched. Ground.

I also do early GM TBI and TPI harness.

I can help any who wish to do the harness themselves as well.

Jim,

I've got a 2001 Jeep TJ with 4.0 & 32RH Auto trans. I'd like to eliminate all of the emissions crap on the harness. There's a number of wires running to them. Could you modify my harness so I can remove this stuff? Or is there something simple I can do myself to make these deletes possible without affecting how my engine runs?

I could use your help. Im working on a buggy right now. I do have the factory ECU and Factory harness with engine bay fuse box. I would love to dumb it down to what you say..I want to be able to start/run the motor as soon as possible.

Soo.. Whats first step?

its not so hard to do as confuddlling as F*$K the important thing to do is get comfy,(take the harness out and bring it inside to the dinning room table, Lots of room to spread her apart there)
I didn't cut a stock xj harness down as there was just soo mush wire I new I wouldn't need! I ended taking the 1993 zj harness and splicing part of it (the pcm and injectors were all in one nice little package) into a 4cyl yj harness.. pin 3 on your pcm is direct fused 12v and there are two grounds pins I believe pins 11,12 i dont have the diagrams in front of me bit but i believe the keyed ignition wire goes to pin 9 of the pcm connector there are your three wires to hook to your buggy........... good luck guys, and search around I found a pdf file for all eclectrical diagrams for yj's and xj's very useful in this line of work...
