Does that tranny have a non-removable bell-housing? Got a rod looking thing on top? Shift nice and tight?

yes its the solid one piece non-removeable bell housing, I have not run this one. it came in a parts truck but the gears look good. I will check the shifting tonight.

the gears have some very small chips on the ends but I think they are too small to make any difference. The plastic end cap on the shifter ball is gone so it will be lose.
The other L52 I just sold shifted rough from 1st to 2nd when it was cold. From what I have been told that type of trans has a bad habbit of that and I think its toyota or northwest offraod that sells an oil to help correct that or limit it.
