Can someone tell me the actual differences between this trans and the W56?? I have seen thread after thread but no pics or internal descriptions! I know the W56 has an addt'l bearing for the fifth gear support, but if the trans is going behind a 20R and later a 22RE then how necessary is it to have the W56??

BTW, how far is Dayton from Nashville(Tullahoma) area?

Should be the same length, shifter location comes up in a different spot. W56 uses top-shifter t-case, where g52 mounts the shifter in the tail of the trans. W56 is beefier according to what I've been told. Anyway, I'm about 2 hrs away and will be in the area in the next week or two. How's $150 delivered?

If you still have it I contact you just before I leave and what's happening with it!! I would still need a t-case wouldn't I or will the early mini's style('79-'82) t-case bolt on? If you don't know let me know so I can search and find out or post it!!!

I think it will bolt up, you would have to cover the t-case shifter hole in the trans. You might want to check around to be sure.
