New AA NV4500
Selling for a friend. All offers looked at and considered.

This was purchased new in the late '90s and has been in storage ever since. The AA part numbers have probably changed, but here is what the paperwork states:

AA Part #27-0003
"Jeep Dana 300 (1980-1986) with AMC 258 or 304 V-8 Engine Transmission Assembly Kit."

Kit Includes:
1) Dodge 4WD Transmission
2) AMC 10.5 Clutch Disc
3) Adapter Plate Dodge x AMC BHSG 1976-1986
4) Transfer Case Crossmember Support Mount
5) NV4500 Shift Handle

How about $2000.00/obo????

Local pick-up prefered (Fremont, CA).

nv4500
all dodge nv4500 are 5.61 first gear only chevy nv4500 had the 6.34 first gear and only the first 2 years that chevy used them.both chevy and dodge use the 5.61 first gear after 95.
this is a damn good deal on this package.i am a dealer for advance adapters and this is way less than cost.
good luck on selling this item.i sold this same kind of package for a guy to put in a scrambler.this is great for offroading and highway.

this is a 5.61 first gear.

I sure didn't realize I was asking below cost! Someone out there must want a good deal.

please bear with me here, this will bolt up to my 304 amc?
Does this nv4500 use another bell housing?
in order to bolt up to the d20 I will need another adapter for that.

The instruction manual states it is for:
"Jeep Dana 300 (1980-1986) with AMC 258 or 304 V-8 engine"
"Drive line modification will be required on both T5 & T176 replacements. The Jeep bellhousing from vehicles 1976-1986 must be used. This bellhousing permits an easy adaption to the Dodge transmission. Original Jeep clutch linkage can be retained and a new clutch disc is required. Not compatible with CJ5 vehicles having short wheelbase."

There is a different parts kit to adapt to a Dana 20 and it requires some different modifications to the NV4500 itself. (That is the way I read the info in the books that came with the kit.)
