Chevy 388 stroker built short block in Nor Cal

This engine is a 388 stroker and the block was checked through and through to make sure it was safe for a .060 overbore. it was in a 70 chevelle and pulled when it began to smoke a bit, turns out the heads needed new valve guides and motor was perfectly cherry.

with 76cc heads it was 9.8:1

it has 80k miles on the shortblock.

So has the motor been rebuilt or just freshened up? Did you bore the motor 60 over? Thanks

It was completely built/bored/machined/blueprinted/balanced etc 80k miles ago. it doesnt need a freshening up. runs like a dream, the thing is just getting broken in. My uncle went with something else in his chevelle, and asked me to sell his short block for him. He's technologically retarded when it comes to the internet.

He had another engine at his house so he pulled this one, put the new one in, and then figured out later that this one was still perfect. sucked for him, its better than the one he has in there, but the works already done so this one is up for sale.

yes, it was bored .060 over. the block was checked for core shift and everything, it was a very sound block. no problems with overheating, or thin walls.
