Transmission and transfer cases in Va.
I've cleaned up the shop and I've been holding onto some pieces that I'd rather see gone.
1995 2WD 4L60E w/ 184K. It is fine, and I painfully decided to remove it and install a factory 4WD version. It needs nothing. I'm thinking $400, but will entertain offers. 1995 AWD Transfercase from Astrovan w/ 197K. Has viscous coupling and was pulled from another van and replaced with a dedicated low range 241. I am not aware of any problems with this unit and I used the van for about a year. It was a monster in snow and ice. I would like $200 for this unit, and again, I'll entertain offers. 1993 231 Transfercase with unknown milage. It is the old Cheverolet 5 stud "star" pattern bolt up. I bought it for a Chevy conversion into a Jeep, but never used it. It turns easily and engages readily. I'd like $150 I have a nine incher with new 4:11 gearing, and a new(er) traclok unit. It had begun to make noise, and we disassembled it once to see if there was wear. It looked normal wear, so I began to suspect the clutches. Numerous doses of Ford additive did not reduce the noise that was only apparent when the axle was warmed up. I cannot tell if it was a driveshaft issue, because the rear was removed and replaced with a Sterling last month. I'd like to get $200 for the whole axle, but will gladly offer inspection of the axle and entertain offers after it's been looked at. E-mail is as fast as phone calls. honchonumberone@peoplepc.com or I believe a PM will trigger a heads up to my e-mail. I am looking for a Dana 60 rear discs to replace my spare Dana 60 with drums and 4:11 gearing. Will work with you. |
