This is for those jeep guys putting in a chevy motor and transmission into your jeep. This allows you to keep driver side drop and have all stronger parts for cheap. This is an adapter that allows a chevy th350 to bolt up to a np231c or np231c HD. Guess it would work for any transmission that has same bolt pattern as th350 and 27 spline output. I think that includes 700r and 4l60e. not sure on that might check. But reason for running a np231C is because it has the larger stronger 27 spline input and also has the wide chain already in it. Reason for saleing is just do not need the adapter anymore. I think the adpater is brand new or atleast I have never used it. Has clocking holes in it so you can pick the angle to run case.

Also have np231C HD. The case is in great internal shape. Has the wide chain. The front of case I just busted a little piece out by shifter. I still have piece and would prob be fine if you just weld it back in there. Otherwise you can get front half of case from pirate for about $20. Will sell this case for $75 which is alot cheaper than just buying the wide chain kit.

Also have another np231C in great shape. shifts fine for $125.

you can take the np231C apart and install the wide chain on your np231 cheaper than the kit

Also if you already have a np231J you can just take front half of case from a np231C and put it on your np231J to make your tranfercase work for this adapter.

possibly interested. How does this adapter work? Is it just an adapter plate or does it replace a shaft also? How long is the adapter?

It is an adapter plate that is used to make the 5 bolt round pattern fit the square 4 bolt th350. It is 1in thick I think I can measure if you want. You shouldnt need a differnt shaft since the th350 should be 27 male spline and the NP231C should be 27 spline female output. Works great has two sets of holes for clocking it. Also has counter sunk holes to allow for tight fit.
